# IPolicyAssociation

Defines the minimal contract for one policy-to-policy relationship, capturing which policy participates, whether it is the parent side, and what association type describes the relationship.

## Purpose
- Provide a lightweight shape for association rows returned by `IPolicyAssociationType`.
- Separate relationship identity and direction from UI-specific display fields.
- Support equality comparisons between association instances.

## Constraints and usage notes
- `IPolicyHeaderAssociation` extends this contract when callers need header-display fields as well as relationship identity.
